Tips for using precontuered poliaxial locking TPLO plates

The degree of precontuering is optimized for the most common cases!

In not fresh cases, the connecting point of the med. collat. ligament thickens significantly, requiring significant bending of the plates. This type of plate can be fitted nicely in these cases as well.

In fresh cases, where this thickening is not significant, it is not necessary to (back) bend the implant either, because the implant remains stable due to the locking stability.

In the picture, the thickend med. collat. lig. marked with a yellow arrow, and the plate follows its shape, marked with a red arrow. The blood circulation in the tissues under the metal is not disturbed, which does not generate further pain and results faster bonehealing.

The screws were inserted in the proximal part with the monoaxial drill guide so the screws were parallel to the tibial plateau and we were sure during surgery that the screw would not penetrate the joint and the screw head would fit into the hole with maximum surface area!

Az idültebb esetekben a medialis collat. szalag tapadási pontja jelentősen megvastagszik, a lemezek jelentős hajlítását igényli. Ezt a lemeztípust szépen fel lehet illeszteni ezekben az esetekben is.

Friss esetekben, ahol ez a vastagodás nem jelentős, ott sem szükségszerű az implantátum (vissza)hajlítása, mert a szögstabilitás miatt az implantátum stabil marad. 

A képen sárga nyíllal jelöltük a collat. szalag vastagodását, a lemez követi ennek formáját, piros nyíllal jelölve. A lemez az alatta lévő szövetek vérkeringését nem zavarja, ami nem generál további fájdalmat, és gyorsabb gyógyulást eredményez.

A csavarok a proximális részben a monoaxiális fúróvezetővel kerültek behelyezésre, így a csavarok a tibia platójával párhuzamosak, és biztosak voltunk műtét közben, hogy a csavar nem fog az ízületbe hatolni, továbbá a csavarfej maximális felülettel illeszkedik a furatba!
